  • You manage the Service Development and Support team (Service Specialists, Special Machinery, Technical Documentation, and 2nd Level Support, Retrofit lab) in our CMM Multisensoric and Solution product categories for the EMEA region

  • as a disciplinary and functional supervisor, you will provide direction, coaching, and support to your direct reports

  • You contribute to the implementation of the IQS and BU Services strategy; develop the team structure and skill set to ensure the teams can achieve the strategic targets

  • active involvement in our service transformation, especially for digital solutions

  • You work closely with the other Global Service Hubs and take responsibility for global enablement projects (e.g., new approaches for a modern, future-oriented training and support concept)

  • You ensure service readiness and serviceability over the whole lifecycle for the CMM IBase

  • You build up a close relationship with the corresponding Product BU and R&D teams and contribute to the development and implementation of an agile, effective, and efficient process landscape

  • You ensure an efficient and effective across-the-board knowledge network to enable our Specialists and FSE to provide best-in-class technical service

  • You actively drive talent development and cultural change in the team


  • ideally educated to Master's Degree level or equivalent in a technology field (engineering, etc.)

  • You have 5+ years of work experience in an operational & conceptual leadership role in an industrial context

  • some years of international experience is a plus

  • an engineering education background is a plus

  • You have demonstrated strong leadership skills

  • You are very experienced in using analytic, strategic, and communication skills

  • You have a proactive attitude and a high degree of independence

  • You are living the ZEISS values, with proven capability to drive and moderate business transformation & change at scale

  • You have business-fluent knowledge of English and German; further languages are an advantage
