With our global network of Partners we serve customers in more than 100 countries all over the world. In the course of our growth strategy focussing on the indirect business we are building up our geographical presence in Europe, serving Partners from our headquarter of Demag Distribution in Wetter, Germany.

To establish and develop further Demag Partners/ Distributors in Europe we are looking out for an Area Sales Manager especially for France and North Africa.


  • Strategic development of the indirect business in terms of identifying new Partners/ Distributors and increasing the market presence with new and existing Partners/ Distributors
  • Market research in close cooperation with the Partners/ Distributors
  • Setting up annual budget plans with the Partners in the territory, regularly reviewing sales and overall performance and implementing measures to keep to the agreed targets. Implementing and monitoring the business using the relevant KPIs
  • Presenting and providing training with respect to the products, tools and processes of Demag in a structured and professional way to our Partners
  • Collecting and analysing of requirements and presenting them in-house. Be the interface to components support team in-house
  • Implementation of agreements and contracts. Managing prices and discounts in accordance with internal guidelines
  • Managing credit policy
  • Representing Demag at trade exhibitions and events, working on special promotions
  • Advising on forthcoming product developments
  • Planning and conducting direct marketing activities
  • Attending training courses to develop the relevant knowledge, which is required to meet the challenges of future business

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration or demonstrable past work experience in industrial equipment and technical sales, offer creation or marketing, hoist/ material handling industry preferred
  • Product knowledge of crane components and light lifting equipment
  • Fluent written and spoken English and French - additional language skills are an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills to interact successfully with customers, management and peers
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills, and proficient PC (MS Office) skills
  • Active mind, positive target-oriented attitude, self-confidence, high level of commitment
  • Willingness to take ownership and responsibility, team-player mentality, excellent organizational skills
  • Driver's license and ability to travel as required (30- 50%)
