The Director Regional Airfreight Pricing & Tender Management Europe is responsible for defining and executing regional strategies for airfreight pricing and tender management and ensuring those strategies align with the global strategy. This role involves developing pricing strategy, providing direct and functional leadership, driving product development and creating competitive customer solutions, which lead to a sustainable volume and profitability growth within the Airfreight Product in Europe. The position ensures consistent execution of standards and guidelines across the region and collaborates closely with key stakeholders within the global, regional and local teams as well as counterparts in other regions.
This position can be based in Frankfurt or Amsterdam.
- Integrate regional Tender Management Team into the regional product team and organization and ensure high level of collaboration and communication with key stakeholder are established.

Define regional airfreight tender management and pricing strategy, including pricing strategies for spot quotes and tenders, and establish minimum and maximum margins.

Provide and align binding standards and guidelines with key stakeholders on airfreight tender management and door-to-door pricing, ensuring locally adapted but consistent execution.

Ensure rate maintenance completeness and rate quality within internal rate management systems to increase efficiencies and success within the different pricing and tender processes.

Collaborate with key stakeholders within the airfreight product to increase quality of customer solutions in regards to pricing competitiveness.

Prepare monthly reporting packages including customer developments .on volume and profitability.

Review hit ratio performance with local counterparts and define actions to improve success and growth across the region.

Coordinate pipeline quality with regional and local sales to ensure growth is enabled and customer portfolio is actively managed.

Steer sales organization to improve opportunity quality & selection within the tender management global process.

Initiate and lead projects related to airfreight tender management and pricing.

Ensure business growth in volume and profitability in line with the global and regional Airfreight strategy.

Own all pricing related processes and systems regarding different quoting channels.

Lead the regional Tender and Pricing team and the local country Tender and Pricing team functionally.

Develop a Roadmap for the Tender and Pricing community.

You hold a Master's degree or an MBA in Business Administration or Management.

You have at least 3–4 years of experience in air freight, ideally in pricing or operations.

You've spent at least 4 years in commercial roles within international freight forwarding, such as pricing or tender management.

You have leadership experience managing large teams or departments with strategic responsibility.

You bring strong entrepreneurial thinking and a solid understanding of business management.

You communicate clearly and effectively, build strong relationships, and empower others in their development.

You're confident working in a global matrix environment and know how to navigate it effectively.

You have advanced proficiency in English. Other languages, such as German, are a plus.
