As Director Allocation Management Design, you will assume a key position in the strategic development of our global Allocation Management frameworks and IT systems. In this challenging leadership role, you will be the business product owner for our Allocation Management and be responsible for the design, governance, and continuous optimization of allocation and uptake management processes that are crucial to our commercial success. You will be responsible for developing a strategic roadmap for a new allocation management system, driving innovation and system development with IT and coordinating and aligning priorities with the respective PoE at IT. You will lead a specialized team of experts and work closely with international stakeholders to establish data-driven decision-making processes and maximize ship space utilization. This position offers you the unique opportunity to develop innovative solutions while demonstrating both strategic vision and operational excellence.
  • Be the business product owner of Allocation Management

  • Lead and develop the Allocation & Uptake Management Design team

  • Develop the global vision and innovation roadmap for Allocation Management aligned with company and Cargo Control strategies

  • Be responsible and develop the business concept for the future enhanced Allocation Management

  • Design and implement scalable allocation frameworks across all trades and regions

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Trade Management, IT, Sales, and Regional Planning teams

  • Oversee technical implementation roadmap and prioritize IT backlog management

  • Consolidate business requirements and regional nuances with internal and external stakeholders and identify optimization opportunities.

  • Lead change management initiatives for successful adoption of new allocation models and governance frameworks


  • University degree in IT, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline

  • Understanding of IT systems and their integration with business processes

  • Extensive professional experience in allocation management, trade management, or sales within the shipping or logistics industry

  • Strong expertise in allocation management theory, data analytics, and cross-functional project work

  • Proven track record in designing and implementing allocation management processes and governance frameworks

  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills in international, matrix-organized structures

  • Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capabilities and strong change management competencies

  • Fluent English skills; additional languages are an asset
