The Bavarian International School gAG (BIS) is a private, non-profit school with two campuses in Munich and Haimhausen. 1,250 students from 70 nations attend the IB World School. Under the motto "Believe. Inspire. Succeed", students enjoy a holistic, personalised and innovative education in English. Intercultural competence, cooperative learning, global responsibility and international mindedness characterise the philosophy of BIS with around 240 teachers and staff.
The Senior Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective offline & online marketing strategies to promote the school, enhance visibility & reputation and attract prospective students. The person will be responsible for managing internal communications, community relations and school events to foster trust, belonging and engagement at BIS.
The Senior Marketing Manager will be part of Team Communications, Admissions and Fundraising and will especially work closely with the Head of Communications & Advancement. The role is responsible for the entire school on both campuses, with the main workplace located at Schlos s Haimhausen.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective and strategic offline & online marketing campaigns
- Plan and execute online marketing measures to generate relevant leads, e.g. social media, online platform co-operations, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Search Engine Advertisement (SEA)
- Identify key source markets, align them with our personas, and adapt the marketing campaigns accordingly
- Analyse data, monitor the effectiveness of the marketing campaigns and deliver a reporting with key performance indicators (KPI)
- Create, organise and manage internal and external events (e.g. BIS Grill & Chill, BIS International Festival)
- Maintain and update the external website and the internal parent & staff zone
- Managing internal communications: ensure alignment of content and communication across all school sections
- Support to find inspiring stories and to co-create content, e.g. for social media, website, blogs, magazine
- Main liaison between the Parent Community Council (PCC) and the school
- Other duties as assigned
- University degree in marketing, online marketing, communications, public relations, business administration or comparable education
- At least five years professional experience in marketing & communications
- Digital native: extensive expertise and passion in online marketing, digital campaigns and social media
- People´s person with positive mindset: open, communicative, friendly person who is good with people and loves to build bridges through communication and empathy
- Content creator: excellent storyteller, able to create appropriate and compelling content for different audiences and channels
- Extensive experience and expertise in collecting data, web analytics and creating KPI reportings
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and reliable in keeping deadlines
- Proficient use of software, online tools and AI, e.g. for statistics, reporting, measuring
- Pro-active, well organised team player with a hands-on mentality who thrives in an international, dynamic and innovative Environment
- Fluent English language skills (verbally and in writing), fluent German is a plus
