We are hiring a Head of Performance Marketing (f/m/d) to own the strategy, execution and results across all performance channels. You are responsible for scaling our 8-figure setup profitably, finding the equilibrium between aggressive growth, contribution margin, and healthy risk. You will report directly to the C-level, work closely with other Marketing Heads, and play a key architect role in shaping Holzkern's growth over the coming years.
- Orchestrate Multi-Channel Strategy: Own performance across Paid Social, PPC, CRM, TV, Influencer Marketing, and emerging channels. You will break down silos to ensure our Paid Social feeds our Search intent, and TV lifts our baseline, creating a cohesive ecosystem.
- Steer by North Star Metrics: You own the primary growth KPIs: ROAS/Marketing Efficiency Ratio (MER), New Customer ROAS (ncROAS), Contribution Margin and CAC:LTV. You ensure every Euro spent aligns with these targets.
- Master High-Velocity Budgets: Take full accountability for 8-figure yearly ad spend. You will define budget allocation and content strategies per channel, dynamically shifting spend based on unit economics and incrementality.
- Shape the Organization: You are building the department, not just running it. You will design team structures, define roles, identify skill gaps, and lead the hiring and development of future leaders.
- High-Impact Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and challenge your team. You will build a performance culture where ownership is expected and every team member understands how their daily tasks impact the P&L.
- Drive Innovation & Automation: Integrate AI, script-based automation, and martech tools to reduce manual load. You focus on technical solutions that make us faster, more precise, and scalable.
- Leverage Advanced Data: Move beyond platform data. You will triangulate data from GA4, backend attribution, and MMM (Marketing Mix Modeling) to steer decisions. You turn complex data sets into clear, binary actions for your team.
- Cultivate Agility & Experimentation: Set up a rigorous testing roadmap to unlock international top-of-funnel growth. You define the hypothesis, the test design, and the rollout plan, ensuring we learn faster than the market.
- Proven Scale Experience: Several years in D2C performance marketing with a track record of managing multi-million-euro budgets and scaling across international markets.
- Channel Mastery: You possess deep, hands-on technical expertise in Meta Ads (FB/IG), Google Ads (PPC/YouTube), or emerging channels.
- Analytical Powerhouse: You possess strong data-driven decision-making skills. You are fluent in attribution models based on incrementality, AI integration, and automation logic.
- Financial Acumen: You think in Unit Economics. You treat the budget like your own money and are comfortable making and owning tough calls based on margin analysis.
- Clear & Pragmatic Leader: Experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment. You give direction, provide feedback, and remove blockers.
- Educational Background: Degree in business, economics, marketing, data/analytics, or a similar field. Strong practical experience and results matter more than the title of your degree.
- Communication: Fluent in English (spoken and written). German or other languages are a plus.
