To lead the design, development, and operational excellence of Solvd's platform and engineering functions. This role is central to ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient delivery of software and platform services across all Solvd Group entities.
- Lead the development of the Solvd Common Platform (v2.0), including integration of the Data & AI layer.
- Drive MLOps maturity and ensure scalable integration of AI/ML pipelines into the shared platform.
- Drive cloud-native transformation and platform standardization across GT Motive, Innovation Group, Control Expert and new potential Portfolio Companies (PFC).
- Build and structure the Platform Engineering and Shared Services functions, including DevSecOps, FinOps, SRE, and Observability.
- Champion developer experience by streamlining onboarding, local dev environments, and self-service infrastructure.
- Implement engineering productivity initiatives, reducing unit costs and optimizing delivery throughput.
- Continuously optimize cloud cost efficiency through FinOps guardrails, right-sizing practices, and transparency dashboards.
- Own the delivery of cross-PFC architectural standards and platform documentation (CMDB, cost cube alignment).
- Establish and enforce common SDLC and release management practices across all engineering teams.
- Define and run architecture and engineering communities of practice; align with CISO and Data Office on security and governance topics.
- Establish robust platform security practices in close collaboration with the CISO, covering runtime security, secrets management, and zero-trust networking.
- Mentor engineering leads and build succession plans for key roles in architecture, platform, and engineering
- Enable rapid innovation through sandbox environments, feature flagging systems, and modular architecture design.

- Reduce engineering unit cost by 20% over two years through productivity tooling and DevOps standardisation.
- Lead Solvd to fully cloud-native delivery for all new platform components by mid-2026.
- Establish a harmonised engineering model and toolbox across all PFCs.
- Reduce developer onboarding time by 50% by delivering a unified engineering toolbox and automation framework.
- Become the technical anchor for CTO in group-wide engineering discussions
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in engineering leadership roles, with at least 5 years leading platform or engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience building and operating cloud-native platforms (preferably on Azure and/or AWS).
- Track record in building data-intensive platforms, supporting real-time data pipelines, or ML infrastructure.
- Deep knowledge of Cloud, DevSecOps, SRE, API Management, and FinOps.
- Proven experience leading multi-national engineering teams or scaling SaaS platforms across globe.
- Experience driving developer experience initiatives at scale (e.g., internal platform products, Backstage).
- Strong grasp of regulatory and operational requirements (e.g., DORA, ISO27001,data privacy).• Skilled in architecture patterns, platform-as-a-service design, and engineering transformation.
- Strong understanding of platform security practices, including identity, secrets management, runtime protection, and compliance automation.
