Munich Private Equity Partners (MPEP) is a specialist for private equity fund investments in the lower mid-market buyout segment and manages assets of EUR 2.7 billion. The product offering for institutional investors consists of carefully selected fund of funds portfolios with an exclusive focus on primary buyout funds in Europe and North America. Since its foundation in 2011, MPEP has made more than 100 buyout fund investments, 95 percent of which were significantly oversubscribed.

For our growing team in Luxembourg we are currently recruiting for the position of
Senior Portfolio Manager (f/m/d)
- Support development of yearly investment and monitoring plans for our PE Fund-of-Funds (“FoFs”) as the basis for collaboration with the investment advisor
- Review and evaluation of initial investment proposals provided by the investment advisor
- Independent supervision of investment processes including close collaboration with investment advisor on investment memoranda, incl. own contribution of content
- Responsibility for initiating and managing the ESG, legal and tax due diligence streams in investment processes
- Organizing the respective portfolio management decision meetings, preparing and presenting final investment decision memoranda and leading the investment subscription process until completion
- Performing select monitoring of PE funds and presenting regular MPEP portfolio reviews
- Support preparation of MPEP FoF reportings and handling portfolio-related investor requests
- Support in managing our Evergreen FoF which contains ETFs and MPEP FoF holdings
- Involvement in continuous improvement and development of internal portfolio management system
- Review and approval of target fund related cashflows
- Completed business studies with a focus on finance or comparable qualification
- Several years of Portfolio Management experience, working with an alternative investment manager, ideally a PE FoF; alternatively, experience in auditing alternative investment funds
- Self-starter able to work independently in a structured and detail-oriented way applying high standards
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- In this role, a strong PE FoF experience would lead to stronger involvement in the investment due diligence with the advisor
- Willing and able to develop junior staff
- Fluent English (written and spoken) required; Fluent German would be advantageous
