We are looking for a

Product Development Senior Engineer (m/f/d)

as replacement within Oras Group's Technology team.

The purpose of the role is to develop and act as head of the construction for new product introduction and technology projects. Through a close cooperation within the team high quality, modular, cost efficient and sustainable solutions will be developed. The focus is set on engineering work quality and content documentation.


  • Engineering 3d and 2d drawings with NX- Teamcenter environment.
  • Take responsibility to meet performance and delivery of products according to specification and project plan.
  • Ensuring engineering quality with engineering methods like X-fmea, tolerance analysis and utilizing simulation results
  • Participate on creating customer study and development builds.
  • Verifying and approving new components to production
  • Communicating with different stakeholders such as, purchasing, production, product management etc..
  • Actively support team members for bi-directional professional growth
  • Design quality and performance of the designed products according to the specifications.
  • Creating 3D CAD models based on Industrial Designer`s sketches.
  • Developing new products and components using existing modularity according to the specifications.
  • Creating 3D models and product structures with component and assembly drawings (eBOM).
  • Ensuring engineering quality by using advanced error proofing tools (like simulation, DFMEA, etc.).
  • Planning, organizing and reviewing prototype testing(s).
  • Verifying and approving new components into production (FSA process).
  • Creating and maintaining product data of designs (materials, quantities, volume, mass, etc.) in PDM system.
  • Verifying manufacturing structures (mBOM) and deliving product data into portal (InRiver).
  • Improves and/or modifies the current products.
  • Working as technical support for purchasing, production technology, manufacturing, QA and after sales.
  • Being a technical expert for the selected products during its lifecycle.
  • Implementing improvements and product changes according to the Change Management or Extension processes.

The location of this position is Stuttgart, Germany, and reports to a manager in Finland. The role involves occasional travel.

Furthermore, the following qualifications are required:

  • +5 years of professional experience in working with Electromechanical devices and engineering plastic components for demanding applications.
  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or comparable.
  • Experienced in X-FMEA, tolerance analysis and other analytical engineering skills.
  • Effective communicator (oral and in writing) and strong relationship-building skills.
  • Structured, ability to plan, manage and execute projects.
  • Highly motivated and driven, achieving positive impact and meeting deadlines.
  • Multitasker & team player with a ‘can-do' attitude.
  • Experience in working with cross functional teams.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English.
