We are looking for an experienced SAP BW Application Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our SAP HR BW (Business Warehouse) system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP BW, a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and proven functional leadership skills as our team is closely collaborating with wide area of stakeholders and supporting a variety of business processes. This offers and supports diversification of tasks offering opportunities of growth in different ways.
As the SAP HR BW Application Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our business intelligence capabilities and ensuring the effective utilization of SAP BW across various departments. The role will also contain opportunity to learn and support Uniper's Corporate Investment Management tool (CIM) which is installed as an Add-On (by 3rd party vendor ZetVisions) to SAP BW systems. I.e, this role is primarily about responsibility for BW HR System, but also opens doors to participation in CIM.
- Functionally lead a team of SAP BW developers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Oversee the SAP BW application environment, including system configuration, monitoring, and maintenance
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs and implement solutions to optimize the performance of the SAP BW system
- Build and functionally lead a high-performing SAP BW team, working with suppliers and developers ensuring high standard technology platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and end-users, to ensure the successful integration of SAP BW with other systems and processes
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP BW processes, configurations, and custom developments
- Develop and implement training programs for end-users to enhance their understanding and utilization of SAP BW capabilities
- Develop and support the use of the BI tools used for driving the business processes (I.e. CIM)
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the SAP BW landscape
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree is a plus
- Proven experience (5 years) in SAP BW development and administration
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
- Strong understanding of HR topics
- Exposure to ZetVisions CIM tool is an advantage but not essential
- Excellent team management skills
- Knowledge of ITIL (V3 or higher)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban etc.)
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- SAP BW certification is a plus
