Contract & Alliance Manager (m/f/d)


  • As a Contract & Alliance Manager, you will monitor current contracts, negotiate contract terms, contract duration and the best possible supply prices, and draft new contracts in coordination with the legal department
  • You will regularly evaluate whether a change of contract manufacturer, packer, batch size, etc. is advantageous for us, negotiate new contracts and take responsibility for product transfers
  • In collaboration with our SCM and Quality team, you will ensure a reliable supply of products, negotiate and, if necessary, enforce claims with suppliers for delayed deliveries, quality problems etc
  • In coordination with Regulatory Affairs, SCM, Quality, Marketing and Finance, you will make a significant contribution to improving the profitability of products, identifying unprofitable products and ensuring their smooth withdrawal from the portfolio
  • In the context of health insurance tenders, you will draft and coordinate letters of commitment for participating manufacturers, negotiate special supply prices and ensure compliance with requirements by contract manufacturers and in-licensing partners
  • With regard to license fees, remuneration and supply price compensation calculations, etc., you will work closely with Controlling, ensure the receipt of reimbursements resulting from the special supply prices you have negotiated and, if necessary, assert claims for damages in the event of breaches of contract

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and visionary individual who ideally has

  • Several years of experience in an international environment with functional management experience in procurement / supplier alliance management in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Good combination of strategic, operational and negotiation skills; ability to be flexible but decisive in a highly dynamic environment while carefully balancing risks
  • Strong IT skills and experience with computer-based planning and forecasting systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and preferably in German
