  • Steering the global Special Original Equipment (SOE) operations organisation, taking into account the group's requirements and coordinating cross-divisional manufacturing, logistics and purchasing activities
  • Developing and implementing strategy for the organisational unit(s)
  • Planning and approving operations budgets, capital expenditures, EBIT and cash flow responsibility
  • Developing specifications for initiating savings potentials and strategies together with those responsible at headquarters or in the business unit
  • Driving continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility

Manufacturing: Manage the global manufacturing footprint in order to meet the production plans in terms of cost, quantity, quality, deadlines and economic feasibility, and guarantee continual improvement. Ensure, comply with and bear responsibility for the COP (conformity of production) requirements defined by the law for the products to be manufactured at the plants on behalf of the license holder. Manage center of excellence in the global SOE organization and push for knowledge exchange to ensure same level of understanding throughout the organization.

Logistics: Lead and manage global and integrated logistics organization for mentored logistic tasks, design and optimize the logistic processes along the supply chain. Direct, manage and optimize all logistics resources and budgets within the corporate/business divisional logistics (personnel, inventory, transportation, infrastructure/equipment, external resources).

Purchasing: Take responsibility for the global market situation, coordination, implementation and tracking of global as well as regional and local purchasing activities for the respective business unit. Develop specifications for initiating savings potentials and purchasing strategies together with those responsible at headquarters or in the business unit. Initiate the implementation of relevant measures, coordinate and initiate purchasing and marketing activities with regard to the specifics of the global procurement market.

Leadership: Assign employees and managers according to their qualifications within the appropriate structure. Instruct employees in a targeted and motivating manner and support them to perform their tasks. Guide and instruct employees in function-related tasks. Take responsibility for performance appraisals and for qualification requirements. Lead employees by example (role model) and by agreeing on objectives as well as delegating, selecting, qualifying and developing employees on the basis of a culture of trust, effectiveness control to level and develop potentials as well as promoting individual competences to fulfil departmental objectives.
  • 4-years degree in mechanical or electronical engineering
  • 10–15 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, including multiple years of experience as plant and production manager
  • At least 5 years of experience in an international environment with inter-cultural exposure
  • Very good knowledge and understanding of the automotive industry
  • Excellent learning and adaption capabilities
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Willingness to travel extensively (more than 75%)
