We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our team and lead the design and development of hardware for our advanced power electronic systems. You will be responsible for all aspects of the hardware design process, from concept to production, ensuring that the design meets the required performance, quality, and reliability standards while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers.

Your work field:
  • Lead the design and development of hardware for advanced electronic systems, including schematic capture, component placement, routing, and layout.
  • Assist in evaluating product requirements and lead concept and design reviews.
  • Work closely with other members of the engineering team to ensure that the hardware design meets the system requirements and is fully integrated with other subsystems.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain detailed documentation of the hardware design, including schematics, layout, and bill of materials.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of the hardware to ensure optimal performance and reliability and to complete the development cycle from early prototyping to final system verification.
  • Troubleshoot and debug hardware-related issues as they arise during development and testing.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure cost-effective and manufacturable designs.
  • Lead the FMEA and DFM analysis for hardware design.
  • Writing design documents such as requirements specs, design specs, and verification specs.
  • Support introducing products into high volume production.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in hardware design and apply new techniques and methodologies as appropriate.

Your profile:
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (MSc or PhD would be preferred).
  • Several years of successful working experience in power electronics.
  • Strong experience in power electronics principles, including gate drivers, power supplies, protection circuits, control, and communication interfaces.
  • Strong experience in designing high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and analog circuits.
  • Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or Mentor Graphics PADS.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB or Plecs .
  • Strong experience with PCB manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of material costs and delivery time.
  • Good knowledge of industry standards and best practices in PCB design, including IPC, IEC and IEEE.
  • Very good understanding of design for EMI/EMC compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
