Project Engineer, Pulp and Paper Mills (m/w/d)
Purpose of the function:
In this role you manage all central Europe roll and workshop service projects for pulp and paper mills. You are responsible for technical support for the customer site for roll related topics and follow as well as support workshops for roll deliveries. Quality assurance follow up in workshops belongs to your task and working closely with sales and workshops to ensure on-time delivery.
- Support projects from application to delivery, ensuring that the proposed plan adheres to the timeline, budget, quality and scope
- Provide technical support to customers in the pulp and paper industry
- Plan projects in detail, set schedules for all stakeholders, and follow each step of the project
- Analyze and develop procedures for improved project quality and delivery
- Maintain project time frames, budget estimates, and status reports
- Enforce health and safety protocols
- Prepare progress reports with project profitability analyze
- Bachelor`s Degree in Engineering or similar technical education
- Experience in technical support and project management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience of paper making technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Very good written and verbal skills in German and English
- Travelling 50% of time to customers or Valmet locations
