Senior Digital Design Engineer (m/f/d)
- The design of digital circuit IPs, for example special DSPs, processor platforms, digital communication interfaces or digital filter structures for future sensor generations as well as their integration in a complex mixed-signal sensor-IC.
- Digital project lead, design management for a complete digital sub-system for a product
- Your area of responsibility ranges from circuit construction, verification and implementation to ensuring stable manufacturing capability (DfT, DfM).
- Design of digital IP and sub-systems with state of the art digital design flow: RTL, linting, synthesis, STA, simulation with back-annotation, formal proof
- Involvement in the continuous improvement of our design methodology and tools.
- Interfacing to other R&D departments, i.e. system engineers, analog design or circuit layout
- Technical guidance and supervision of Digital Design Engineers and Back-End Layout Engineers
- University or college degree in electrical engineering with focus on microelectronics
- 5+ year experience on digital IP/IC design
- Proven experience of successful development of digital IPs and products in industrial environment
- Experience of schematic based digital circuit technology design and the corresponding design tools.
- Deep knowledge and experience of:
- hardware description languages (Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL)
- script languages (TCL, Python, etc.)
- standard digital design flow (RTL-coding, design compiler, logic equivalence check, static timing analysis, etc.)
- digital verification methods like formal verification (LINT)
- DFT, scan insertion, ATPG tools (i.e. Tetramax)
- Database management and file versioning control systems, issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira)
- Rigorous, methodical and organised
- High level of concept competency, a good team player with proficient English language and PC skills.
Preferred experience and background:
- Knowledge of sensor signal conditioning, calibration techniques, DSP
- NVM (Non-Volatile Memory) EEPROM, OTP basic knowledge
- Entry level of German language
