We're hiring a Head of Product Management AdHoc in Mannheim, who's overall role will be to:


  • Strategically and operationally lead the product management function to drive growth and innovation of AdHoc brand together with AdHoc team that is one of the most important, flagship brands within DK Household Brands.
  • Strengthen brand positioning and expand category scope through effective product lifecycle management and consumer-centric initiatives. Reinvigorate the brand's legacy of design-led innovation, ensuring it remains competitive and a market leader.
  • Lead the innovation funnel with a consumer-centric and commercially driven vision, collaborating with the Global Brand and Design teams to align marketing and product strategies.
  • Partner with global commercial teams (online and offline) to enable successful go-to-market execution for existing and new product launches.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Analysis:

  • Analyse market dynamics, category performance, and consumer trends to develop datadriven strategic and operational plans.
  • Use insights to inform product strategies and innovation roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives with clear commercial rationale.

Innovation & Product Development:

  • Define and lead the innovation funnel, setting strategic priorities and timelines for product launches.
  • Provide clear direction for product development, working closely with Operations teams, primarily based in China.

Portfolio Management & Oversight:

  • Oversee a diverse product portfolio and life-cycle management, managing hands-on as necessary and ensuring alignment across the broader portfolio. Performance Tracking & Reporting:
  • Establish robust performance metrics and reporting systems to track key indicators (e.g., sales, gross margin, time-to-market).
  • Take corrective actions based on performance analysis and insights to optimize results.

Awards & Recognition:

  • Ensure timely submission for product and design awards to enhance brand credibility and visibility.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Lead and develop the design team consisting of two senior designers
  • Foster a collaborative, values-driven culture within the broader AdHoc Team and broader organization

Required:

  • Solid experience of 5-10 years in similar roles
  • Minimum 5 years of successfully leading similar sized teams
  • Strategic thinking and ability to articulate sharp plans
  • Strong commercial acumen; thriving in an external role with sales and customers
  • Executional ability with ´hands on approach´ and the capacity to cope with high workloads in peak periods
  • Pragmatic and solution-oriented individual who seeks collaboration and winning as a team

Additional requirements:

  • Ability to travel when needed (1-2 times a month, but typically not above 20%)
  • Fluent English and German language
