Risk Partner (m/f/d)


  • Lead the development and implementation of the local Data Privacy Strategy in alignment with Group Data Policy
  • Serve as the primary contact for defining and updating data privacy policies, procedures, and standards in collaboration with Group entities
  • Ensure alignment with EU GDPR, especially regarding special categories of personal data
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior management and the externally appointed Data Protection Officer on privacy-related matters
  • Coordinate data privacy initiatives with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors
  • Support cross-functional teams with ad hoc privacy advice
  • Perform second-line compliance monitoring for data privacy and information security risks
  • Conduct continuous risk assessments and manage privacy-related controls, including execution and testing activities
  • Monitor legal and regulatory changes and ensure timely adaptation of local processes and policies
  • Develop and maintain KPIs related to data privacy
  • Prepare and present privacy updates, breach dashboards, and individual rights metrics to internal forums and committees
  • Oversee the drafting and maintenance of privacy notices, ensuring transparency and compliance with GDPR requirements
  • Ensure that privacy notices clearly articulate the lawful basis for processing and the safeguards in place for sensitive data
  • Lead internal and external audits related to data privacy and information security
  • Manage communications with regulators and ensure timely responses to inquiries and inspections

  • A University Master's degree in law, economics or equivalent
  • Risk Management or Certified Compliance Officer qualification or equivalent is preferred
  • Several years of relevant experience in a risk or compliance function
  • Knowledge of related law and regulations
  • Sound knowledge of integral risk control models and reporting
  • Proven ability to assimilate complex information and support decision making within the business
  • Conceptual understanding of the principles of the business area including a detailed knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Specific knowledge of techniques and tools required to manage and monitor risk processes
  • Ability to develop operational policies within the area and ensure that procedures are understood
  • Ability to interpret and unravel complex cases and provide solutions to improve relations/processes
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing (German or Dutch and English) and ability to demonstrate these skills effectively across all levels of the organisation
