Eaton Life Safety Division is looking for

a Business Development Manager – DACH region

Job location - preferable southern part of Germany


Job profile:

Business Growth – Ensuring revenue ambition

  • Drive business development in the DACH region, forecast accuracy, and achieve strategic goals by leading key customers through the entire business cycle.
  • Manage, Grow and Execute on a pipeline of new and existing accounts and opportunities.
  • Develop, execute, and oversee a business strategy that prioritizes growth and positive customer ratings.
  • Actively seeks out Life Safety Service business opportunities that can boost revenue and help the company attaining his challenging goals.
  • Use financial techniques to improve sales revenue (pricing optimization, cost control, budget allocation, financial analysis)

Strategic Initiatives

  • Focuses on Trade Sales growth through effective sales management and demand generation.
  • Drives proactive sales campaigns installed base data management.
  • Supports implementation of regional service contracts, agreements with key account customers, allocation of inquiries within the region, ensuring fast response to customers.

Market, Customers and Competitors

  • Market intelligence, be an expert on CI customers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be an expert on competition and how to differentiate against them. (data driven decisions).
  • Maintain positive professional relationships with clients.

Internal Interactions

  • Identifies new service business opportunities and acts as the leader for promoting the implementation together with Country Services Sales Managers and Country Sales Organizations.
  • Develop market-based strategies, growth initiatives to drive growth together with Country Service Sales Managers and Country Sales Organizations.
  • Partners with multiple departments to drive measurable results that benefit service business in the Commercial Infrastructure area.


We would like you to bring:

  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent, preferably in Engineering or Business
  • Strong experience in business development for the services (ideally in building infrastructure – installation/maintenance)

  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of initiatives.
  • Experience in dealing with and conducting negotiations with customers.
  • Experience in attending exhibitions/conferences and conducting presentations.
  • Market and technology savvy
  • Strong communication skills, fluent in German and English
  • An entrepreneurial mindset able to influence stakeholders.
  • Self-directing and self-motivating.
  • An active change agent who is willing to take an appropriate amount of risk.
