Head of Digital Value Chain Optimisation Centre (m/f/d)

As Head of the Digital Value Chain Optimisation Centre (m/f/d), you will lead the transformation of how data and digital tools drive our supply chain performance. You will set the strategic direction, manage a high-performing team, and ensure that our digital twin and analytics solutions deliver measurable value across the business. In this senior leadership role, you will act as the bridge between Supply Optimisation, Data & Analytics, and Commercial functions, shaping the future of our digital value chain.
You will report to a senior executive function and be integrated closely with cross-functional stakeholders. Your work will contribute directly to enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and resilience of our supply chain and logistics operations – while enabling data-driven decision-making at scale.
- Set the Vision: You define and execute the strategic roadmap for digital value chain optimisation.
- Lead the Team: You lead, manage, and develop a team of senior and junior analysts within the Digital Value Chain Optimisation Centre.
- Implement the Digital Twin: You oversee the rollout and integration of digital twin technology in the value chain.
- Drive Value from Data: You ensure that data and analytics generate actionable business insights that support supply and logistics optimisation.
- Build Bridges: You act as a central interface between Supply Optimisation, Data & Analytics, and other enabling functions.
- Enhance Capabilities: You develop and implement approaches to strengthen the organisation's optimisation capabilities.
- Align Strategies: You secure alignment between analytics activities and broader commercial and business strategies.
- Inform Decisions: You guide supply optimisation with clear recommendations to unlock optimisation potential.
- Foster Culture: You build a culture of data-driven decision-making, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record in supply chain, value chain optimisation, or data-driven business transformation
- Strategic and Commercial Acumen: Strong strategic mindset with deep understanding of trading, supply, and logistics
- Data and Digital Expertise: Advanced knowledge in data analytics, digital tools, and optimisation methodologies
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated capabilities in managing and developing high-performing teams
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills at senior levels
- Innovation and Technology: Familiarity with digital twin technologies, advanced simulation, or AI-driven optimisation is a strong advantage
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Marked focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering business impact
- Language Skills: Fluent in English to collaborate effectively in an international environment; German is a big plus
