Asset and Storage Optimisation Manager (m/f/d)

Here's what you can look forward to:
Join our team as an Asset and Storage Optimi­sation Manager (m/f/d) and take respon­sibility for sha­ping how we use, optimise, and grow our storage assets. You work at the inter­section of Trading & Supply, Dispatch, Logistics, Asset Manage­ment, and external partners, ensuring collaboration across all key stakeholders.
In this role, you ensure the most profi­table utili­sation of our tank capacity, make strategic deci­sions on inter­nal versus external allo­cation, and conti­nuously review the commercial use of termi­nals and third-party facilities. You also eva­luate and challenge investment proposals, ensu­ring they create long-term value, support business growth, and strengthen our company's overall profitability.


  • Storage Utilisation: You analyse, monitor, and opti­mise the use of storage sites and tank capacity to ensure maxi­mum effi­ciency and commer­cial value.
  • Capacity Planning: You deter­mine annual tank capacity require­ments, deciding how much to retain, release, or reallo­cate depen­ding on contractual commit­ments and business needs.
  • Allocation Decisions: You eva­luate and decide on the inter­nal versus exter­nal allo­cation of spare capacity, incl­ding whether to rent tank space to external parties or use it internally.
  • Investment Evaluation: You verify and challenge investment and optimi­sation pro­posals from other departments, ensuring align­ment with business growth, profitability, and value creation.
  • Terminal Optimisation: You assess and recommend the most effective use of ter­minals each year, balancing opera­tional feasi­bility with economic returns, and review third-party storage facilities.
  • Asset Strategy Development: You develop and implement strate­gies for the long-term economic optimi­sation of storage assets and con­tinuously improve existing facilities and processes.

  • Asset and Storage Expertise: Strong under­standing of asset and storage management pro­cesses
  • Commercial Valuation: Experience in asses­sing tank storage capa­city and invest­ment proposals from a profitability perspective
  • Investment Verification: Ability to criti­cally evaluate opti­misation ideas, balan­cing risk and return.
  • Analytical Skills: Talent in optimi­sing storage utili­sation, profitability, and value crea­tion through data-driven analysis
  • Negotiation and Decision-making: Proven skills in nego­tiating and deciding on internal versus external capa­city allocation
  • Technical Proficiency: Confident in using rele­vant data tools and systems to support decision-making
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English to colla­borate effectively in an inter­national environ­ment; German is a big plus
