Role Overview:
As Strategic Assistant to the Director of Global Marketing, you will act as a trusted advisor, project manager, and communications liaison to the Marketing team, as well to other internal stakeholders. This high-visibility role supports strategic planning, cross-functional initiatives, and operational effectiveness within the global marketing function.
This is not a traditional administrative assistant role. The ideal candidate is a sharp thinker with a business mindset, a strong grasp of B2B marketing and logistics dynamics, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
You will work closely with executive stakeholders across marketing, sales, product, and operations to help translate strategic goals into actionable plans and ensure alignment and execution.
- Strategic Support & Execution
Assist the Global Director in developing and managing the global marketing strategy and annual budget planning. - Executive Presentation & Reporting
Prepare strategic presentations, briefings, and dashboards for leadership and board-level meetings. - Project & Program Management
Support and help lead global marketing initiatives and campaigns, ensuring cross-functional coordination and timely delivery. - Steering Committee Coordination
Organize and manage meetings for the Global Marketing Steering Committee, including agenda setting, documentation, and follow-ups. - Communication & Stakeholder Alignment
Serve as a liaison between the Director and internal stakeholders; draft executive communications, business updates, and internal materials. - Market & Performance Insights
Conduct research, benchmark against industry best practices, and collaborate with analytics teams to evaluate campaign performance and customer insights.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; MBA or Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, strategy, or consulting.
- Background in logistics, transportation, or industrial sectors is a strong plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal).
- Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) and ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships across regions and functions.
- Analytical mindset, comfortable working with KPIs, budgets, and dashboards.
- Fluency in English; additional languages such as German and/or Spanish are a plus.
