We are looking for you! As an integral part of the portfolio management team of Allianz Investment Management SE (AIM SE) you will be implementing building blocks of our quantitative investment steering framework. The position allows you to tap into cloud native application development using innovative technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an investment company managing a global portfolio of EUR 700bn with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop. As we are a cross-functional team you will work in close collbaration not only with our investment professionals but also with our technology experts.
What you will do as an Intern - Software Engineering in Investment Management Life/Health (m/f/d)
- Build cloud native applications utilizing Python
- Design and implement components for our portfolio steering cockpit in Angular
- Develop tools (Excel VBA, SharePoint, Python) to optimize our investment management workflows
- Work closely with investment professionals and data experts in a cross-functional team
- Ad-hoc requests (e.g. portfolio and data analysis)
What you bring as an Intern - Software Engineering in Investment Management Life/Health (m/f/d)
- You are at the end of a Bachelor's program / beginning of Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field of study
- Previous experience in application development, ideally with Python or Angular/TypeScript/JavaScript
- Familiarity with technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes would be a plus
- You are interested in capital markets and portfolio management
- Very good knowledge of English
- You can work independently within an international and dynamic environment
- Quick learner who can take initiatives, have strong analytical skills, and pay attention to details
- Previous working experience, e.g. internship in financial services or IT firms would be a plus
- You are registered as a student for the entire duration of your working contract
