We're seeking an intern to join our product team in developing a forward-thinking climate risk assessment solution for companies and financial investors as well as a new adaptation solution. This role is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at a DAX-40 company, working on innovative projects within a dynamic, international team. If you're passionate about climate risk assessment and eager to make an impact, we'd love to hear from you! Your assignment will ideally begin in January 2025 with a full-time commitment of 6 months.
- Support the product team to develop a new climate risk solution for companies and financial investors and/or a new adaptation solution
- Research and process company financial data, support with the integration of climate risks into credit risk models, and help with the creation of an asset level data pipeline
- Research and process data on adaptation measures such as CAPEX and risk mitigation impact across different geographies and hazards
- Support the product advisory team in client engagements
- Align and coordinate your work with adjacent projects
- Collaborate with the product team to design a product concept and mock-ups for the new solution
- You are about to complete your bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, data science, economics, finance, physics, or a comparable field of study
- Strong analytical skills, ideally experience in climate risk analysis and/or engineering projects for climate adaptation purposes
- Hands-on experience in programming, data management and processing incl. knowledge of Python
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and return on investment (ROI) analysis
- An enthusiastic and efficient researcher, with problem solving skills and willingness to think outside the box
- Reliable and independent working style
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics and technologies
Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. The first master's degree may not have been completed before/during the entire internship.
