Senior Analytics Engineer (all genders)


  • Modelling: Design, build, and maintain production-grade data models and semantic layers that serve as the foundation for consistent and scalable business reporting
  • Metrics Governance: Encode core KPIs and business logic in the backend—ensuring accuracy, reusability and performance across all analytics and dashboard use cases
  • Self-Service Enablement: Deliver well-structured datasets and Power BI models that empower non-technical users to access, explore and act on data independently
  • Business Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to business stakeholders—translating their needs into scalable technical solutions and guiding them toward best-practice analytics
  • Documentation & Transparency: Own the documentation of metric definitions, data models, and dependencies—creating a reliable knowledge base and audit trail for analytics
  • Quality & Performance: Implement best practices in data testing, validation, and performance tuning to ensure high-quality, fast and trustworthy analytics experiences
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, data product managers, and governance leads to ensure alignment on architecture, naming standards, access controls and roadmap planning

  • Experience: 5+ years in analytics engineering, BI development, or data modeling roles—ideally in environments with enterprise-scale data and self-service goals
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong SQL and experience with dbt or equivalent ELT modeling tools; hands-on experience with Azure Data Services and/or Snowflake
  • Power BI Expertise: Deep knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, semantic modeling, and performance tuning; able to build scalable, maintainable reporting layers
  • KPI Logic Ownership: Proven ability to define, document, and centralize critical business metrics in code — ensuring consistency across teams and use cases
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Familiar with Git-based workflows and modern analytics engineering practices (e.g., testing, staging, automation)
  • Business Acumen: Strong communication skills and a strategic mindset—able to partner with business teams and translate needs into data solutions
  • Detail Orientation: Passion for clean, tested, well-documented data models that balance flexibility with governance and long-term maintainability
  • Languages: Business-fluent English skills and a good command of German both written and spoken
