Job Description
Turck, one of the leading automation specialists worldwide, is looking for a Director Cybersecurity to lead and continuously evolve its global cybersecurity strategy. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to shape a resilient and future-ready security landscape across IT and OT in a multinational, matrix-driven environment.
As an integral part of the international IT leadership team, reporting dually to the VP Corporate IT and a Managing Director, you will be responsible for building and securing the enterprise's digital backbone – from global policies to incident response.
Strategy & Governance:
- Develop and implement a group-wide cybersecurity strategy and roadmap aligned with business priorities
- Design and implement secure IT architectures, cloud policies, and security guidelines
- Manage externalized MDR security services provided by company Arctic Wolf
- Own and maintain security policies and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT), incl. for cloud environments
Ensure compliance and risk management and support audits - Oversee Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), support audits and regulatory alignment
Security Operations
- Lead cybersecurity operations including SOC, SIEM, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, incident response, and forensics
- Review and respond to security events, and initiate improvement actions following incidents
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and expand the cybersecurity team (internal and external resources)
- Act as a strategic partner to IT, OT, Legal, HR, Procurement and Lines of Business
- Foster a security-aware culture across the organization through awareness and training programs
- Stakeholder management in an international matrix organization
Program Management
- Manage cross-functional projects (budgets, timelines, resource coordination)
- Align and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership
Continuous Improvement
- Monitor emerging threats, best practices, and technology trends
- Establish meaningful KPIs and present status reports to executive management
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related fields
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in cybersecurity or enterprise risk management
- Hands-on knowledge of security architecture, cloud security, and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT)
- Experience with cybersecurity tools and platforms (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Strong understanding of business processes and ability to translate technical risk into business impact
- Confident in communicating at all levels, including executive and board-level
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA are a strong advantage
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally within an international group setup
