Senior DLT developer for the digital euro

- As a senior DLT developer, you will develop innovative DLT-based solutions for interoperable and secure central bank digital currency.
- This role goes beyond traditional development work – here, you will be helping to shape the future of European payments.
- You will be responsible for planning, designing and implementing DLT solutions for both the retail and wholesale sectors.
- You will conduct technological experiments, manage integration into existing infrastructures and develop smart contracts.
- Your work will not only influence technical developments, but will also contribute to the international expert discourse.
- You will represent the Bundesbank as one of the leading institutions in the area of central bank digital currency.
- Master's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related discipline
- At least two years' professional experience and extensive knowledge in the development and provision of DLT systems (preferably based on Hyperledger Fabric)
- At least two years' professional experience and extensive knowledge in software development, including programming and smart contract programming
- Good knowledge of API development and the integration of DLT solutions into existing IT infrastructures
- Good knowledge of CI/CD, version control systems (e.g. Git), and the provision of cloud applications
- Good knowledge of IT security (e.g. cryptography)
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Negotiation skills and powers of persuasion
- Ability to organise work tasks independently and work in a team within an agile environment
- Very good English and good German communication skills
Remuneration and prospects
Remuneration that corresponds to pay grade E 13 of the wage agreement for the public sector (Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst – TVöD) (approximately €66,000 to €89,000, depending on your level of experience), bonuses for exceptional performance, future-oriented public sector job offering reliable working conditions, international working environment, varied tasks, opportunity to gain civil servant status or maintain existing civil servant status (up to A 15), extensive range of training opportunities
