At our location in Wedel near Hamburg, we are looking for a Global Medical Affairs Lead – Rheumatology, Urology, Oncology & Supportive Therapies (m/f/d).


We are seeking a strategic and visionary Global Medical Affairs Lead to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the global medical strategy for the designated therapeutic focus areas Rheuma­tology, Urology, Onco­logy and Suppor­tive Thera­pies. You will lead a team of scientific-medical professio­nals, drive cross-functional collabo­ration, and ensure the inte­gration of medical insights into product strategies to support the overall business objectives.

Key Responsi­bilities

  • Lead and further develop the Global Medical Affairs department in alignment with business unit goals
  • Define, implement, and oversee the medical strategy for assigned focus areas and integrate medical strategies into broader product strategies to ensure alignment across functions
  • Serve as primary medical represen­tative and point of contact for all scientific and medical inquiries
  • Manage and prioritize departmental activities and resources, including financial and human capital
  • Build and maintain a robust network of global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Develop and implement stakeholder-oriented training concepts


  • Advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy, or life sciences (MD, PhD, PharmD preferred) doctorate (PhD or MD) is of advantage
  • Proven experience in medical affairs leader­ship roles, ideally in a global setting
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex medical insights into actionable strategies
  • Excellent communication and stake­holder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage depart­mental budgets
