Business Area (BA) Markets' role in Vattenfall is to maximize the value of the overall portfolio by optimizing and dispatching, hedging, and sourcing for Vattenfall's sales and generation volumes. We serve as Vattenfall's single access to energy commodity markets and trade electricity, emissions, fuels, freight, and renewable certificates. We employ around 500 professionals who are active across Europe with offices in Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

Within Markets BU Customers is enabling both Vattenfall and our customers to become fossil free. We do this by offering power purchase agreements to operators of wind or solar parks and by connecting customers to fossil free electricity. We provide market access services to large customers and (regional) energy suppliers and connect demand-side flexibility of industry to stabilize the electricity grid. We furthermore source electricity for Vattenfall's consumer- and business customers with a strong focus to increase renewable sources of electricity.

Join Vattenfall and become a key player in enabling our customers to access energy markets efficiently, securely, and sustainably. We are now looking for a Manager for External Portfolio Management to strengthen our team with a focus on customer onboarding, market access, and financial trading.

Your main responsibilities

\n

\n
• Act as the main interface to customers, internal BU Trading, Compliance, Renewables portfolio management and Commodity Origination
\n
• Provide access to energy markets for external customers and support their onboarding
\n
• Administer customer contracts and transactions, including execution services and pricing desk operations
\n
• Drive standardization and compliance in a dynamic and regulated environment
\n
• Take responsibility for a €10 million budget and ensure delivery of agreed services
\n
• ​​​​​​​Decide on feasibility and go/no-go for new service developments
\n

Your profile – you should also recognize yourself in:

• University degree (Master's) with a minimum of 3 years of managerial experience
\n
• At least 5 years of experience in portfolio management or a related field
\n
• Strong knowledge of financial regulation and compliance topics
\n
• Skilled in stakeholder management and building trust across business areas
\n
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on people and change management
\n
• Ability to translate complex information and regulations into clear operational processes
\n
• Experience working in an international and multi-market context is a plus
\n
