Jeff has built teams achieving excellence, while increasing efficiency and reducing cost. He has twice renegotiated the organization’s debt to improve rates and terms. Jeff played a critical role in successfully guiding through the COVID-19 pandemic. In previous roles, Jeff served as Chief Financial Officer of Cell Medica, a biotechnology company developing cellular immunotherapies for cancer. He managed global financial operations and helped to raise over $100 million in private investment. He spent 7 years at Eli Lilly & Company, including his last role as U.S. Controller. Jeff began his career with KPMG as Senior Auditor. Jeff has a strong focus on providing value to the organization every day and developing respectful and trusting relationships. He has always believed that a person’s place or title in the organization does not equate to the value of their contributions or to a level of respect. Jeff respects every person and would not ask anyone to do anything that he would not do himself. He believes that every person in an organization can have good ideas and we all just need to make them feel comfortable and confident in communicating those ideas in a trusting environment. Treat people with respect, prioritize the important things, do the right thing always, do not overcomplicate matters and smile. Jeff does not profess to be an expert in life or business, but he does believe that keeping these five simple things in mind can help to make you successful, whatever your measure of success may be for your life.
