We’re now looking for a Medical Device Technical Specialist to help deliver excellent standards to the medical device market.
- Salary of €70,000 - €80,000

Your role will involve travel for around 20 per cent of your time, so you will have the chance to get out and about and maintain your knowledge of the industry on a first-hand basis, and you’ll have the opportunity to progress your career with a leading notified body.
This vital role will see you driving standards for safety and performance within the medical device sector and taking part in cutting-edge innovation with state-of-the-art technologies.
You’ll be taking on a diverse and varied role as a Medical Device Technical Specialist, where you’ll build, control and manage a portfolio of medical device CE marking schemes.
Reviewing and evaluating medical device technical documentation, you’ll also be involved in QMS assessments for medical devices. You’ll also provide advice and mentoring services to colleagues who are working in your area of expertise.
To be successful, you’ll need great interpersonal and communication skills to be at the heart of your professional demeanour as you’ll be dealing with manufacturers who are planning and executing conformity assessment projects.
To be considered as a Medical Device Technical Specialist, you’ll need a BSc, ideally a Master’s degree or PhD (or equivalent qualification) in a discipline relevant to medical device manufacture and use.
You will also need experience in the design, development and manufacturing of one or more of the following vascular medical devices, such as:
- Stents and stent delivery systems and percutaneous heart valves
- Devices to treat abdominal aortic aneurysms ablation and electrophysiology catheters
- Embolic coils, neurovascular stents and related accessories
- Balloon catheters, PICC or CVC catheters, guide wires, introducers, closure devices and related accessories
Other organisations may call this role Medical Device Technical Specialist, Medical Device Assessor, Medical Device Auditor, or Medical Device Development Specialist.
