Research Scientist Intelligent Systems Architecture Robots, IoT and IT infrastructure (cyber physical systems) are moving closer together. This requires new concepts and solutions at the overall architecture level in order to provide valuable and efficient services for users. Your responsibilities Scientific research and technological contributions in the field of system architectures for cyber physical systems, i.e. robots, sensing, computing, and actuated infrastructure Research new architecture concepts, analyses and implementations for connected self- sustained systems, considering aspects like local decisions, shared data, cooperative behavior, and global benefit Find new solutions to problems like efficient sharing of task-relevant data, temporal organization of groups of self-sustained agents, safe operation in case of partial faults, etc. Publication and presentation of research results in top-ranking conferences and journals Cooperation with leading universities and industrial research partners Your profile PhD or an excellent Master of Science degree, and experience in a related field PhDs should have a proven track record of excellent research and the ability to define a research agenda contributing to our vision Applicants holding a master’s degree have the possibility to pursue a PhD in cooperation with academic partner institutions Experience or strong interest in systems engineering Knowledge in ROS, UML is a plus Profound programming skills in one of the following languages: C, C++, Python We look forward to hearing from you.
