For our client, an international bank, we are looking for a freelance General Ledger Accountant with expertise in HGB and IFRS (m/f/d).
- Start Date: As of November 1, 2025
- Duration: Until June 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension
- Project Location: Remote, Onsite/Rüsselsheim
- Ensuring the timely execution of the monthly closing procedures and the punctual completion of the individual steps within the month-end closing schedule.
- This includes independently defining necessary corrective measures or escalating issues to Finance Management and various specialized departments.
- Responsible processing of various financial accounting activities within the scope of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to IFRS and HGB for the entities within your area of responsibility.
- Advising other departments regarding process changes and their accounting impact, and monitoring postings/work carried out by internal/external foreign service providers.
- Carrying out ad-hoc requests, analyses, and studies to support management.
- Successfully completed advanced training as an Accountant or a comparable university degree (e.g., Business Administration with a focus on Finance).
- Several years of solid professional experience in general ledger accounting (Bilanzbuchhaltung), preferably in an internationally operating manufacturing company or the automotive industry.
- Excellent and in-depth knowledge of accounting standards according to IFRS and HGB.
- High problem-solving competence, strong analytical skills, a proactive and independent working style, as well as pronounced communication and consulting skills.
- Business-fluent German and very good English skills (both spoken and written).
