We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Data Scientist with an interest in finance to join our team. The ideal candidate should have skills in data analytics and a keen interest in developing predictive analytics that will support business decisions and forecasting. Extensive knowledge of Python, data manipulation tools, SQL, Business Intelligence software, and Excel are necessary. The key quality we are seeking is hand-on, proactive mindset. The right candidate will be completely self-starting, and able to integrate multiple systems spread across 10 global business units.

Data Scientist (m/w/d)

Type of job: full time (40h/week)


Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Support the creation and maintenance of financial reports and dashboards.
  • Assist in gathering, organizing, cleansing, and analyzing data to provide meaningful insights for business decisions.
  • Utilize data analytics to improve business forecasting.

Data Manipulation and Programming:

  • Apply Python programming for data handling using libraries like pandas and NumPy.
  • Generate notebooks on Jupyter for collaboration to support team projects and analyses.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with team members in finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and operations to align data analysis efforts with organizational goals.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests and assist in preparing data summaries for stakeholders.

Learning and Development:

  • Engage in training and mentorship programs to strengthen technical and analytical skills.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analytics and financial modeling.

  • Bachelor's degree in progress or recently completed in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field
  • Good knowledge of Python and familiarity with tools like pandas and Jupyter notebooks
  • Knowledge of the following would be desirable:
    • Exposure to SQL databases or BI tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau)
    • Basic understanding of financial concepts and forecasting techniques
    • Eagerness to learn new tools, techniques in data analysis and development of own tools
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to team members
