Technical Product Developer - Knit (m/f/d)
- Plan and track the development schedule of prototypes and samples according to the seasonal product development schedule, delivering samples and costings on time
- Manage accurate and timely the entry of data in our PLM system (Centric) – Tech pack, BOM, Comments, etc.
- Partner with Design to understand the overall aesthetic and fit, as well as the design details and translate this to samples
- Develop products, recommend constructions, advise on proper fit for each style. Provide solutions related to cost and target margins
- Source new yarns and trims according to our Bogner quality standards and target prices
- Schedule and lead fit sessions and feed comments back to the factories
- Collaborate across the PD department on product or PLM related issues and projects alignment
- Establish and maintain strong relationships and good communication with our production partners and key internal departments as Design, Brand and Quality Control
- Evaluate new potential manufacturers and onboard new partners
- Some travel to manufacturers and suppliers in Europe and Asia will be required
- Ideally a Degree in Textile/Apparel Development/Management or similar
- 3+ years of development experience in functional and RTW knitted products
- Good understanding of the cost factors (and a BOM) of a product, ability to develop to cost
- Sound knowledge of garment constructions, yarns, patterns, costings and manufacturing processes
- Passionate product person who is both independent and a good team-player
- Good communication skills and ability to establish good relationships with other key departments and our production partners
