Legal Counsel (m/f/d) Data/Digital and Contracting, 80-100%
As part of Schindler's Global Legal & Compliance Team, you will play a key role in supporting our digital transformation and ensuring compliance in critical areas.

- Provide legal advice across the Schindler organization on technology, data and privacy matters in the day-to-day operations
- Advise on projects for the implementation of new regulations in the areas of IT, data and cybersecurity at Schindler, within the EU/EEA (e.g., NIS 2, AI Act, Data Act, Cyber Resilience Act) and globally, including ongoing post-implementation legal guidance
- Draft and negotiate global sourcing contracts in the areas of IT and digital
- Provide legal advice on the development and marketing of new digital products and services
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Schindler's programs on compliance with privacy, data, cybersecurity and IT regulations and related governance processes
- Develop and publish guidelines and training materials addressing various legal aspects in the areas of technology, data and privacy
- Next to your main responsibilities per the above, you occasionally also provide legal advice on contracts with our customers and related fields
- Law degree and admission to the Bar in Germany or another EU/EEA country, postgraduate studies (e.g., LL.M.) or work experience abroad is an advantage
- Several years of professional experience, preferably in a law firm or as an in-house counsel in an industrial environment
- Demonstrated legal know-how in the areas of IT contracting, digitalization, cybersecurity, AI and data privacy
- Excellent German and English language skills, every other language is an advantage
- Passion for and curiosity about technology and its intersection with data and business
- Interest in and/or affinity to the machine manufacturing industry
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and team player mentality
- Excellent communication and people skills, including the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across different geographies and organizational levels
- Project management skills, including the ability to flag risks and propose mitigation actions
