MKS Atotech is looking for a Senior Solution Architect & Consultant (w/m/d) with deep expertise in automation, IIoT, and instrumentation to drive innovation for our plating equipment solutions. This role requires experience in automation and instrumentation with leading technology providers or users across process, hybrid, and discrete industries.

You will work cross-functionally, providing technical leadership and supporting product management, R&D, software development, project engineering, business development, sales, and services teams. Your expertise will drive innovative, scalable automation and IIoT solutions that meet complex industrial demands.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Design and architect cutting-edge automation and IIoT solutions for plating equipment.
  • Provide expert consultation on instrumentation and control systems in plating or related process industries.
  • Collaborate across teams to integrate market needs and R&D insights into product and solution development.
  • Support sales and service teams with technical expertise during customer projects and engagements.
  • Lead training sessions, workshops, and technical reviews across internal teams and customers.

  • Extensive expertise in industrial automation, instrumentation, and IIoT in process, hybrid, or discrete industries
  • Broad experience in engineering combined with customer-facing roles (service, sales) and business development.
  • Strong knowledge of sensor instrumentation, control systems, and IIoT device integration.
  • Experience in machine automation (either on the supplier or customer side) is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple functions and influence decision-making teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for customer-facing and internal consulting roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical.
