As the central AI Incubator, we are driving the introduction of Agentic AI in the BMW Group and defining the direction across functions and divisions. Together, we orchestrate the next generation of AI solutions and create alignment between top management, digitalization functions, IT and tech departments. In overarching project teams with the relevant departments and BMW Group IT, Agentic AI solutions are implemented and transferred to operational processes.
What awaits you?
- You will design and manage a team of Agentic AI experts who will drive the implementation of Agentic AI in the processes in joint project teams with the relevant departments and IT.
- You will provide strategic advice as a central AI Incubator, identify potential, prioritize and manage use cases and lead cross-functional teams through the entire orchestration process - from the idea to productive implementation.
- You will also define the functional architecture for autonomous multi-agent systems and develop a BMW Group wide concept for agentic AI orchestration in our core processes.
- In addition, you will develop a data and knowledge strategy together with relevant interfaces so that AI agents always have up-to-date, relevant context.
- You will ensure the secure, scalable integration of the AI agent solutions in the BMW Group's specialized processes using the BMW Group IT platforms and establish robust operating processes with the specialist departments, such as monitoring and fail-safe mechanisms.
- You will also define KPIs and evaluation frameworks to make the success of the agent AI solutions measurable and pay attention to accuracy, reliability, ethical guidelines and AI safety.
What should you bring along?
- University degree in computer science, data science, engineering or a comparable field.
- Several years of professional experience with AI systems and a practical understanding of modern AI architectures, ideally in the automotive industry or related industries.
- Practical expertise in agent-based AI and implementation of LLM-based AI agents or multi-agent systems in specialized processes.
- Experience in analyzing processes, identifying potential for change through AI and developing automated processes using AI agents.
- Experience in the use of pre-trained large language models, context engineering, retrieval augmented generation and knowledge retrieval.
- Analytical and consultative skills, structured problem-solving skills and high detail-orientation.
- Additional certifications in cloud technologies, data science or AI as well as contributions to the open source community are an advantage.
