As part of our European Underwriting team, you will work closely with our European branches as well as departments such as Actuarial, Accounting, and Data Warehouse. Your goal: ensuring transparency and quality in our motor portfolios – through clean, well-structured data, clear reports, and sound analyses.
How you'll make an impact
- Analyse data for ongoing and ad-hoc reports for the management and European branches of AND-E for our European motor portfolios
- Develop a reporting system for European Underwriting in cooperation with the branches and related departments such as Actuarial and Accounting to ensure accurate reporting
- Create reports and presentations for the Underwriting and Pricing Committee
- Work closely with the Data Warehouse team to understand and reconcile data for reporting
- Produce visualisations and reports (using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and SQL) and present results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear, actionable way
- ETL of data
- Automation of reports and data modelling
- Connect BI tools to SQL databases
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a comparable field
- Professional experience as a Data Analyst or in data-driven roles
- Strong SQL skills (JOINs, CTEs, window functions, query optimisation)
- Experience with Redshift or other relational databases
- Confident use of Python (Pandas, NumPy) and common visualisation libraries
- Experience working with large, heterogeneous datasets
- Very good Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VBA & macros
- Fluent English skills; good German skills are an advantage
- Confidence in international environments and in cross-functional collaboration
