Our task includes helping to develop a unified, global sales solution for the Würth Group. This includes tools and products that are tailored to the needs of sales employees and aligned with those needs.

For our location in Berlin (alternatively Niedernhall-Waldzimmern near Heilbronn or Würzburg), including mobile working, we are looking for you as a
Senior Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

  • implement and productionise ML-based services on our AI- and big-data-platform Databricks, using Python, SQL and Linux.
  • consult and enable cross functional teams to build efficient and scalable big-data- and data-science-projects and take over production responsibility to ensure continuous business value.
  • improve standard processes and best practices for services and projects on our platform and help to reduce costs for them.
  • write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards and perform unit testing and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • work with adjacent teams on topics such as governance, infrastructure (on AWS, GCP and Azure), data provisioning and scheduling, CI/CD and data engineering.
  • stay up-to-date with related industry trends and technologies, and apply them to enhance our software and service offerings.

You make the keys smoke when you code? Perfect — we've got solid equipment waiting for you, so you can bring your skills to the team. You:

  • have at least 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering on Databricks, including experience with Unity Catalogue, Asset Bundles, Workspace creation, ML Flow, Lakebase and Python.
  • have at least 5+ years experience in working in Software Engineering with at least one additional high level programming language.
  • have solid understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases (HANA, MS SQL, MySQL).
  • have advanced knowledge about Linux and Operating Systems and about creating, configuring, using and debugging Spark Clusters.
  • offer strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • have good communication & presentation skills in English and at least basic skills in German.
