In this position you lead the local operational procurement team, take over sourcing activities for tactical projects, special sourcing needs or local commodity responsibility and act as a sparring partner for the team and as team representative for other functional departments. Additionally you are responsible for processing and creating purchase orders in time, track order confirmations, shipments status and adhere to all relevant process, legal and regulatory compliance requirements. In total the role combines team management and personal tactical responsibilities while focusing on the following actions:

  • Lead the team, fostering collaboration, communication, and a positive culture

  • Achieve operational procurement targets and conduct monthly KPI reporting

  • Manage team and individual performance through regular reviews and target setting

  • Develop the team and improve procurement processes for effectiveness

  • Serve as the go-to person for escalations and conflict resolution

  • Identify and source materials, negotiate contracts, and maintain supplier relationships

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations in procurement activities


  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or a related field

  • Profound experience in a broad range of procurement or purchasing roles, preferably in a project-based environment and/or indirect procurement environment supplemented by first experience in leadership

  • Proficiency in procurement software SAP and Microsoft Office Suite additionally to the ability to assess technical tasks and requirements

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with strong solution orientation and assertiveness

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills

  • Interest to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Fluent skills in English and in German
