Community Bank is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) owned bank provided by the Military Services to support authorized customers' needs. The bank is operated through a contract between the DoD and a commercial financial institution. The current contractor is Navy Federal Credit Union.

We have over 60 banking centers and nearly 300 ATMs in Europe and the Pacific region to support the Military Personnel, DoD U.S. Civilian Employees and their family members while they serve overseas.

For our District Office in Mainz-Kastel we are looking for an

IT System Administrator (m/f/d)

as soon as possible, working full-time (40 hrs.) on-site.


  • Lead technical projects from inception to completion, serving as the primary technical lead.
  • Provide 3rd level support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, remote tools and on-site.
  • Support user and device management using Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID and M365 Admin Center.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based client/server systems using MDT or Intune Autopilot.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PC's, printers, scanners, phones and other peripherals.
  • Identify and document system requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment with business needs.
  • Set up and support modern workplaces (notebooks, tablets, smartphones).
  • Software deployment & patching using patch management and software deployment tools.

  • You are a flexible, logical and analytical thinker and fluent in oral and written German and English.
  • You are team-oriented, have a structured, and proactive working style and the ability to work and remain calm under pressure.
  • You possess a Class B driver's license and the willingness to travel (approx. 25%).
  • You have successfully completed vocational training as Fachinformatiker or equivalent IT qualification and proven experience in IT support (2nd/3rd level), ideally in a mid-sized business.
