As an Automation Software Engineer (f/m/d) in our Automation Innovation Center, you'll work closely with our R&D team in Darmstadt. From concept to final product, you'll help create cutting-edge automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop hardware-related software using CODESYS V3 and Siemens Step7
- Integrate modules into system architecture and contribute to platform development in C++
- Design and implement software following best practices (e.g., SOLID)
- Perform automated and manual testing to ensure quality
- Collaborate in an agile team (code reviews, pair programming)
- Support customers during international product launches

What we expect from you
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Solid experience in software development, particularly with system-level programming languages
- Preferred: Familiarity with industrial production technologies and relevant industry standards
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and assume responsibility
- An entrepreneurial and agile mindset in your way of driving the development
- Innovative, following technology trends, in close cooperation with the customer
- Very good in English and German, speaking and writing
- Team player with good communication skills with different stakeholders, at all levels of hierarchy
- Willingness to travel (max 15%) and the ability to present new ideas in a convincing manner

Job location
This role requires you to mainly work on-site at our office in Darmstadt, Germany with the possibility to work remotely according to our mobile office policies. You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
