Associate Director - Senior Modeller (m/f/d)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced modeller to join our Life Solutions team in EMEA as we continue to grow our business within the region. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, validating, and implementing sophisticated models to support business decisions, risk management, and strategic initiatives. Ideally you will have a strong background in actuarial modelling, data analysis, and programming, with proven experience in leading teams in delivering high quality actuarial modelling solutions. You will contribute to the growth of the business in the German life insurance market by identifying opportunities, supporting strategic initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Your area of competence
- Develop, calibrate, and validate advanced actuarial, financial, or statistical models for risk assessment, pricing, forecasting and profit analysis.
- Analyse large and complex datasets to extract meaningful patterns and insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into modelling solutions.
- Present model results and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Document model methodologies, assumptions, and results in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging modelling techniques.
- Mentor and support junior modellers and analysts to help develop talent within the team.
Your profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum eight years of relevant experience in actuarial modelling, quantitative analysis, or a similar role.
- Deep knowledge of actuarial software commonly used in the market.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SAS, or similar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to present complex actuarial concepts in a clear and engaging manner and responding to client inquiries with professionalism and expertise.
- Experience in developing German liability specific profit-sharing models.
- Multi Language skills: Fluent German and English.
