E.ON is leading the way in the energy transition - and our Finance Strategy & Transformation department is supporting the global Finance organization to enable this transformation with efficient, digital, and scalable processes based on a clear Target Picture and Roadmap. As (Senior) Finance Strategy Manager, you will play a key role in the development and strategic direction of our global finance organization. You will be part of the Finance Strategy team and share responsibility for the development, communication, and steering of the respective strategy implementation.

  • Strategy Development: Support development of an ambitious target picture and strategy for the global finance organization shaping the role of finance: business focused, performance oriented, digital, efficient.
  • Program Execution: Translate strategy into actionable projects and support management of the transformation program in close collaboration with the Finance Transformation Project Team as well as the central finance functions or local teams.
  • Governance: Set up program governance, milestones, interdependencies, and KPI tracking, and reporting mechanisms to track progress and ensure delivery.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct benchmarking, market trend analysis, and identify best practices and innovation opportunities to shape future finance capabilities.
  • Data Analytics: Provide analytical support and insights to guide decision-making and prioritize transformation initiatives.
  • Change Management: Lead change management and communication activities to build transparency, engagement, and adoption across the finance community.

  • Professional experience: At least 5 years of experience in international finance organizations or transformation programs; consultancy background in finance transformation is highly beneficial.
  • Leadership & program management: Proven track record in managing transformation programs, including governance, KPI frameworks, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Strategic & analytical skills: Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, with the ability to turn insights into actionable initiatives.
  • Finance & technology knowledge: Solid understanding of finance processes, operating models, and enabling technologies, combined with a passion for identifying and implementing innovation opportunities.
  • Facilitation & presentation skills: Excellent presentation and workshop/interview facilitation skills with strong storytelling capabilities and proficiency in using common tools for strategy development and presentation (e.g., PowerPoint, Miro).
  • Communication & stakeholder management: Strong communication skills to engage with senior management as well as operational teams, with proven ability to drive change, align stakeholders, and solve problems.
  • Working style: High level of self-motivation, self-organization, and flexibility.
  • Language skills: Fluent in English and German.
