Head of Asset and Storage Optimisation (m/f/d)

As Head of Asset and Storage Optimisation (m/f/d), you will take full responsibility for maximising the value of our storage assets. You oversee the effective and profitable use of all storage capacity, balancing internal operational needs with external commercial opportunities.
You develop and execute strategies that ensure tanks and terminals deliver maximum value while providing critical oversight of investment proposals and long-term asset development plans. By aligning operational feasibility with commercial priorities, you contribute directly to the company's growth, profitability, and strategic resilience.
- Strategic Leadership and Accountability: You take full responsibility for the commercial performance and optimisation of storage assets, providing strategic leadership and oversight of all storage optimisation activities.
- Team Leadership: You establish and lead a new team, providing clear direction, fostering collaboration, and developing talent to strengthen asset and storage optimisation capabilities.
- Capacity Utilisation and Planning: You lead the analysis, monitoring, and planning of tank capacity requirements, making decisions on retention, reallocation, or divestment to ensure optimal deployment of assets and maximum commercial value.
- Allocation Decisions: You direct decisions on internal versus external allocation of available capacity, safeguarding profitability, operational integrity, and alignment with corporate strategy.
- Investment Oversight: You challenge, validate, and approve investment and optimisation proposals, ensuring quality, governance compliance, and alignment with growth, profitability, and risk-return objectives.
- Terminal Optimisation and Growth: You oversee the commercial assessment and optimisation of existing, new, and third-party terminals, ensuring cost efficiency and strategic fit as well as supporting corporate growth initiatives and the capital investment program.
- Cross-functional Leadership: You provide effective leadership across functions, balancing operational requirements with commercial opportunities and fostering collaboration across the organisation.
- Asset and Storage Expertise: Extensive senior-level experience in asset management, storage operations, or related infrastructure sectors
- Commercial Skills: Demonstrated capabilities in valuation, capital allocation, and investment appraisal in asset-intensive environments
- Value Creation: Strong track record of delivering optimisation strategies and portfolio management that drive commercial results
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced prowess in data tools and systems relevant to asset and capacity management
- Language Skills: You are fluent in English to collaborate effectively in an international environment; German is a strong plus.
