We are seeking to recruit a Business Development Associate/Manager (f/m/d) to support our CCUS Business Development & Partnerships department with the development and evaluation of decarbonization investments.
A significant part of the carbon neutrality roadmap requires the development of new business models and new value-chains in Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) with internal and external partners. Reporting to the Director of CCUS Business Development & Partnerships, the Business Development Associate/Manager (f/m/d) is supporting and facilitating the development of business cases, investment models and rationale in large scale CCUS projects in good collaboration with CCUS Group Leads, Country CCUS Leads, and other key functions.
Your place of work will be Heidelberg, Germany.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
- You support the analysis and development of our strategic, large scale CCUS projects in close collaboration within our CCUS department and operational entities of Heidelberg Materials, contributing to our CO2 Neutrality Roadmap 2050.
- For the projects you are working on, you prepare analyses / calculations, business cases, and presentations and reports. You also support the department in exchanging know-how with relevant stakeholders.
- You contribute to the development of business concepts and value-chains towards final investment decisions by our Top Management.
- You are keen to develop your network within the CCUS community and interact professionally with the key actors in this domain.
- You are supporting and partially writing funding proposals for promising projects.
YOUR PROFILE
- Academics: You have a business or economics degree (must-have). Technical background and knowledge in CCUS is not required but can be a plus.
- Business experience: You have 3 - 5 years working experience of which at least 2 years in investment analysis / deal support or similar. You have a proven track-record to develop and assess (light) financial models to support investment decisions and business development opportunities. You are familiar with financing structures (e.g. off-balance) as well as various business setups such as JV's, SPV's or similar.
- You are well-structured and organized and are able to digest new information swiftly and convert those into useful spreadsheets and presentations.
- Your mindset is pragmatic with a getting-things-done attitude, adapting to a wide range of internal and external contacts. You are capable to work in diverse teams in parallel and to discuss on level playing field with internal and external stakeholders.
- You are fluent in English.
