Our client is a medium-sized, long-established and successful international shipping company. The modern fleet comprises more than 20 seagoing vessels, operated reliably, safely, and with environmental responsibility. The company's headquarters are located on the Ems axis. As part of its continuous growth, a Technical Inspector (m/f/d) is currently being sought.
- Technical support and monitoring of the assigned ships
- Ensuring compliance with classification and flag state regulations as well as international safety and environmental standards (ISM, ISPS, MLC)
- Planning, organizing and accompanying dry-dockings, repairs and docking activities
- Budgeting and cost control in the technical area
- Close collaboration with ship management and internal departments (Crewing, Chartering, Procurement)
- Selection, management and monitoring of external service providers and suppliers
- Participation in audits and inspections, including preparation and follow-up
- Continuous optimization of operating processes to increase efficiency and safety
- Completed studies in marine engineering, naval architecture, maritime technology (or similar) or completed training as a Marine Engineer with several years of seafaring experience, several years of professional experience as a Technical Inspector in a shipping company or practical experience as a Chief Officer (C/E)
- Solid knowledge of maritime regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, classification guidelines)
- Experience in planning and executing dry-dock projects
- Proficient with MS Office and typical technical management systems (e.g., PMS)
- Good English skills, spoken and written
- Strong technical understanding and analytical thinking

- Willingness to undertake international business travel and aboard assignments
