Python is your second native language, and you know that SPICE is not only for flavouring? You are familiar with electrical measurement techniques, and you bring advanced experience in data engineering? In this role you focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining automated Python tools for the component modeling pipeline—from data extraction and model fitting to validation and integration. Close collaboration with the modeling team ensures efficient translation of theoretical models into codes. Come and shape the future of technology with us!
- Creating new things: You develop and maintain automation tools: Design, implement and maintain robust, scalable Python scripts and software tools to automate the entire component modelling pipeline. The tasks include extracting and processing data from diverse, unstructured sources as well as parameter determination and model adaptation. The task also includes integration with internal databases and version control systems as well as quality assurance checks.
- Optimizing output: Work with the modelling team to translate theoretical and empirical models (e.g., physics-based models, equivalent circuits, S-parameter) into efficient, automated code.
- Keeping overview: Create comprehensive documentation for all developed tools.
- Basics: Expert-level proficiency in Python (≥ 3 years preferred) for engineering computing, data analysis and process automation. Experience with relevant libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) is essential. Experience with version control systems, particularly Git is essential.
- Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of optimization algorithms and statistical methods for model fitting. Ability to read, understand or contribute to C++ codebases. Experience developing Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) for engineering applications with Angular. Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, Keysight ADS, Cadence Spectre) and their scripting interfaces.
