As a Global Product Cost Controller (m/f/d) at Trench Group, you will be pivotal in driving innovation by managing the financial aspects of our product portfolio and R&D initiatives. You will leverage data-driven insights to ensure alignment with business goals, advancing our efforts in sustainable energy solutions. Your Tasks:

  • Portfolio Strategies: Collaborate with the technical Business Development, Product Management and Sales teams. Analyze factory loads, profitability, and market dynamics to drive portfolio strategies and close the feedback loop to Sales teams. Identify growth opportunities and recommend adjustments to the product portfolio. Ensure alignment with overall business goals.
  • Product Controlling: Take ownership of product controlling activities for the global Trench Group business and portfolio. Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports and dashboards for management review.
  • Product Management and R&D Finance: Manage all financial aspects for product management and Research and Development including R&D project Budgets, project reviews, project funding and license models within
    the Trench Group. Monitor R&D projects cost and timewise. Work closely with product and R&D and Sales managers to perform cost analysis, profitability assessments and payback calculations for all product groups and internal R&D projects. Evaluate product lifecycle costs and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Tools & Dashboard Creation: Support the development of new tools to manage monitoring of R&D projects cost and timewise. Create management dashboards that provide real-time insights into sales and product management activities. Establish close collaboration with factories, IT, and data analysts to ensure accurate data integration. Customize dashboards to meet specific business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize portfolio strategies to achieve Order Intake and Revenue targets. Share insights from the sales data analysis with your R&D and PM team.

  • Educational Background: A Master's degree and/or Diploma in Business Economics.
  • Professional Experience: Demonstrable experience in a global professional or corporate
    setting, preferably in a Sales or Product (lifecycle) management function
  • Specialized Knowledge: Data analytics, data visualization with Tableau and/or Power BI, Controlling
  • Project Management: Established skills in project management and process optimization.
  • Collaboration: excellent collaboration skills and foster teamwork across various levels of the organization.
  • Change Management: Capability to identify the need for process improvements, enhance efficiency and transparency, and effectively encourage teams to adopt changes.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential, with German language skills being a considerable advantage.
