You enjoy working at the intersection of Finance and Tech, think commercially, and bring structure to complex cost topics? Then this role could be a great fit for you. As part of our European finance team, you'll work closely with our CFO and CTO to bring transparency and control to all IT-related spend. You take ownership of both project budgets and operational costs – and help shape how we manage technology from a financial perspective.

How you'll make an impact

  • Serve as a strategic finance business partner to the IT leadership team, delivering comprehensive financial oversight, forward-looking planning, and data-driven decision support across the virtual One IT Company structure.
  • Lead the development of the IT budget in close collaboration with all IT service line owners. Use this as the foundation for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)-based service cost models, ensuring transparent cost allocation to internal IT customers in line with the cost affordability principle. Ensure full integration of budgeting processes into the overarching Group FP&A framework.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the organisation to drive alignment on IT cost structures—ensuring transparency, consistency with strategic objectives, and financial feasibility.
  • Deliver robust and reliable cost centre reporting and forecasting for both IT operations and strategic projects, thereby ensuring financial control and performance visibility.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal financial controls, group accounting policies, and relevant financial reporting standards, including local GAAP such as HGB and IFRS where applicable.
  • Provide expert financial support for tax-related matters, both direct and indirect, working closely with the Group Tax team to ensure accuracy and compliance in all IT-related tax considerations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the One IT function, including the review and approval of invoices, periodic financial reviews, and collaboration with external vendors.
  • Leverage the Group's financial capabilities—including Controlling, FP&A, and Tax—to generate commercial and operational value for the IT division.
  • Actively contribute to internal and external audits, ensuring all regulatory reporting obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.

  • You hold a recognised professional finance qualification (e.g., Wirtschaftsprüfer, Steuerberater, ACCA, CIMA) and bring significant post-qualification experience, ideally within a multinational or matrixed organisation.
  • You have a strong background in finance leadership, with a proven track record of partnering effectively with C-level executives—particularly within IT or technology-driven organisations—to shape and deliver on strategic goals.
  • You possess a high degree of commercial acumen and are comfortable challenging and influencing senior stakeholders. You consistently drive cost optimisation while delivering tangible value through rigorous financial insight and governance.
  • You offer deep expertise in IT financial management, including service delivery costing, TCO modelling, and the implementation of cost transparency frameworks to inform strategic technology investment decisions.
  • You bring solid experience in financial planning and performance management, having taken ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning in complex, multi-entity environments.
  • You have successfully evaluated and overseen large-scale IT programmes, including outsourcing initiatives, digital transformations, and other strategic projects—with a strong emphasis on ROI analysis and robust business case development.
  • Your communication and stakeholder management skills are exceptional. You are fluent in English, with proficiency in German being a strong advantage. Additional European languages are considered a plus.
